The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) announces a vacancy for the post of UN Affairs Personnel/Research Associate. The Centre invites highly motivated and dedicated applicants with good research, writing and analytical skills.
Designation: UN Affairs Personnel/Research Associate
Gross Salary: Rs.25,500.00 (Inclusive of House Rent)
Basic Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge in UN human rights system, international human rights law, journalism & related subjects
- Experience in research, writing and translation (from Tibetan to English)
- Good command over written and spoken English with working knowledge of Tibetan
Mode of Selection: Written test followed by interview
Service Contract: Minimum 3 years service including 6-month probation
Job description: The selected candidate is expected to handle communications, make individual case submissions as well as submit alternatives reports to different UN human rights treaty bodies. Additionally, the selected candidate will work in the Centre’s research section assisting in research projects including taking interviews, drafting reports, briefing papers and press releases.

- Attested copy of medical fitness certificate from any registered medical practitioner
