Is looking for a Tibetan Language Teacher for the year 2014
Thosamling Institute is offering Tibetan courses, for foreigners-beginners and advanced students-, about Tibetan colloquial, grammar and basic Dharma. The classes are given into English, and are from Monday to Friday. There are two breaks during the year. The contract will be for one year, with possible renewal, for the following years. There are 5 classes a week, in the morning. Accommodation inside Thosamling (in Sidhpur) is available for the teacher, but unfortunately not for families.
The teacher should have good knowledge of English, which is the language used to teach the courses. She/he should also be comfortable with explaining both colloquial and scriptural Tibetan and must have a good understanding of grammar as well. Experience with teaching Tibetan to foreigners is strongly recommended and appreciated. She/he is expected to take time to prepare the classes seriously while following the general syllabus of Thosamling.
She/he should commit to work for at least one year.
