Aide a l’Enfance Tibetaine (AET) is a Non-Governmental organization based in Paris, France which came into existence in 1981. It works in partnership with TCV (Tibetan Children Village) and CTRC (Central Tibetan Relief Committee) Department of Home, CTA. It has been sponsoring Tibetan refugee children, students and the elderly and many sustainable projects in the Tibetan communities in India/Nepal.
This year, the AET is going to organize an English Writing/Artwork Competition among young Tibetans in exile who are in the second year Under Graduate course or equivalent, to commemorate the Year of Gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The theme of the Writing/Artwork Competition is “Tibet, My Dream” and the Department of Education, CTA will facilitate this initiative, such as the announcement, collection of writings/artworks and screening of collected writings/artworks.
As a mark of appreciation, the AET will reward Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) each to the best 20 writings/artworks selected, which will be published in the future.
Therefore, as a facilitator, the Department of Education, CTA hereby announce the competition on the theme “Tibet, My Dream”, open to young educated Tibetans who are studying in the second year undergraduate course or equivalent in various colleges in India. The language of expression should be in English.
This competition includes essays, poetry, comics and drawings on the theme “Tibet, My Dream”. The length of essay will be 10,000 words or 4 pages on A4 sized paper and the length of comics or poems should be at least one page. However, there is no specific size for drawing/painting.
Last date for receipt of writings/artworks by the Department of Education, CTA, Dharamsala will be December 31, 2014. The participating students are requested to submit hard copy of their English writings/artworks along with the following documents to the Department of Education through registered post.
1.A letter from the college Principal stating that you are enrolled in second year undergraduate course
2.Attested copy of Green Book
3.Name and contact details
The final selection will be done by the AET and the result will be declared by AET at the end of May 2015. If you have further queries, please do not haste to write to academic@tibet.net
